The Spirit of Christmas

Disclaimer: The Largo Winch characters do not belong
me and that's a shame! Only Sarah is mine, but it's
always is a beginning ^__^

Author: Scilia

Archives: www.bricbrac.fr.st

Summarized: Kerensky will discover himself in a time
warp for...

Note from the Author: And voila, I put myself also to
the Christmas story, but it is necessary to say as one
is squarely inside. I wanted to do something original
and an episode of Stargate suited wonderfully. Voila,
our poor Russian is stuck in time because of... bah,
you will see... well ^__^ Good parties to all!

***

Kerensky and Joy worked silently in the Bunker. It was
Christmas Eve, but neither of them had wanted to take
the day off that Largo had suggested. The parties
seemed an ordeal for the Russian if, this year, he had
to attend them alone. He thought of the young woman
who awaited when the Bunker door opened on Largo and
Simon, their arms filled with decorations.

- Ho Ho Ho! Simon exclaimed merrily.
- You two are awfully quiet, Largo said while putting
several boxes on the desk.
- What that this is?
- Have you lost your skills as a former KGB agent?,
teased Simon, These are Christmas decorations! Larg'
and me, we said that we would decorate the Bunker
since we already did the whole building.
- No, Kerensky replied.
- But you see, it's good to have fun. I've even
thought about the Christmas songs! Simon exclaimed
while taking a radio out of a closet.
- Don't tell me that it's you that gave them that
idea, Georgy said threateningly to Joy.
- I know nothing, I swear! she responded with a small
smile.
- Come on, we can begin decorating, Simon said
enthusiastically, opening the cans while Christmas
songs invaded the place.
- I thought that you hated this holiday, said
Kerensky, shooting the decorations an angry look in
the hope that they would disappear from view.
- Not since last year! The twin top-models reconciled
me with this holiday
they were
you cannot
understand!
- Come on Georgi, a little Christmas spirit can't hurt
you. Won't you give us a hand? asked Largo with a
shrug.
- No, Kerensky replied while plunging back in his
research.

He ignored them for he knew that it was impossible to
change their opinions.

- Ho Ho Ho! Simon exclaimed merrily.

Kerensky turned his head sharply towards the door and
saw Largo and his best friend bring down their
purchases right up to him
.
- You two are awfully quiet, Largo said while putting
his box on the desk.
- If this is a joke, it is not funny Simon.
- Eh? What are you talking about? Larg' and me said
that we would decorate the Bunker since we already did
the whole building.
- I am certain that we already had this conversation,
murmured the Russian while trying to understand.
- I've even thought about the Christmas songs, Simon
continued, while getting the radio out of a closet.
- You are in on this? Kerensky demanded of Joy.
- I know nothing, she said with a shrug.
- Come on, can you give us a hand comrade ?
- No.

The music ceased abruptly, and Kerensky raised his
head. The Bunker was empty, with the exception of Joy,
who was concentrating on her research.

- Ho Ho Ho! Simon exclaimed merrily.
- I live a nightmare, declared the Russian.
- A nightmare? Largo echoed while putting his box on
the desk.
- Larg' and me said that we would

- Decorate the Bunker after you have done the whole
building, Kerensky finished for him.
- Yes but
how do you know that? Simon asked,
surprised.
- I feel like I'm reliving the same thing.
- That would astonish me, you haven't listened to the
Christmas songs that I bought!
- Yes!
- No, it is impossible, I have just bought the C.D.,
Simon replied.
- Joy, you
, Kerensky started.
- I know nothing, she said with a small smile.
- Let's get started, Largo said pensively, Can you
give us a hand Georgy?
- No. I want to understand why

The music had stopped again and Kerensky looked at
Joy, leaning on his screen in frustration. It seemed
that the same scene unfolded itself indefinitely. Time
seemed to have stopped its course and replay over and
over again.

- Ho Ho Ho! Simon exclaimed merrily.

Even the time warp itself reproduced a countless
number of times. Kerensky tried to make several
changes: to ignore them, to leave the Bunker when
Largo and Simon entered,
but every time, he returned
to his place just before the arrival of his two
friends.

- Ho Ho Ho! Simon exclaimed merrily.
- It begins again, Kerensky muttered.
- What begins again? Joy asked.
- This rotten time warp. They will say to you that
they want to decorate the Bunker, Simon has a C.D. of
Christmas songs and

- Will you give us a hand Georgy? Largo asked.
- N.. Agreed, otherwise you risk doing it badly.
- No but you would put our artistic vision in
question! Simon said with a half-smile.
- Especially yours, if truth be told. Thankfully Largo
has a little more taste than you, Kerensky continued,
realizing suddenly that the buckle was broken.
- I propose a truce, Largo said, concerned that the
conversation could get worse. I invite all three of
you tonight to my place.
- Tonight? Larg', I told you that I was going out with
Océane tonight , Simon protested.
- Océane? What sort of parent can call their girl
Océane, Joy joked.
- Yes, I know not but she is
wow! And you Larg', are
you bringing someone?
- Well
since you mention it, I have something to say
to you, Largo said, moving closer to Joy.
- You have at last

- Oh no, this is not what you think Simon, Largo
replied, I have just asked her
to be my wife, he said
with a big smile.
- She said yes, I hope, commented Kerensky.
- Of course, Largo replied, giving Joy a kiss.
- Under certain conditions, she clarified.
- We will see about that, Largo murmured in her ear.
Actually nothing prevents you from coming to accompany
us, Georgi, Largo added, abandoning Joy's neck.
- Kerensky with a girlfriend? That would be cheating
on his cherished computers, Simon teased.
- I'll call her, and I will give you my response soon,
Kerensky replied, ignoring him.
- What? You, you have a girlfriend!
- Since you really want to know and because we have a
truce, yes, I have someone at the moment.
- Who? Does she know it yet?
- Simon
you should leave it alone, Largo said, amused
at the _expression of the Russian who hesitated to
break the truce to knock Simon senseless with a 30cm
angel decoration.
- No, I want to know who is this pearl who can stand
Kerensky, Simon replied.
- In my opinion, if you want him to leave you in
peace, you should reply , Joy suggested to Kerensky,
also curious to know more.
- Her name is Scilia and she's a model (this is me the
author lol). That should suffice to satisfy your
curiosity for the moment.
- You'll have to tell me someday how you can find
someone while spending your life in the Bunker! Simon
exclaimed.
- A gentleman

- Never says anything! the three friends chorused with
a laugh.

Some thousands of kilometers from New York, at the
North Pole , in a pretty chalet covered with snow, an
old couple looked at a strange television.

- You succeeded again.
- Yes, he has understood the Christmas spirit.
- I believe that we are finished our work with them.
Largo and Joy are together , Simon overcame his
Christmas curse,

- I am responsible for last year , the twin models
were delicious, said the old man with a shrug.
- Tell me, you'd want to exchange me for them? the
woman asked.
- Never, my dear, your ideas are precious. Without
your time warp idea, Kerensky never would have
participated in the Christmas magic.

Someone knocked on the door of the chalet, and a small
clothed man of green entered after having been
invited.

- It is time!, he announced.
- Agreed, I am ready. Is everything ready?
- All is loaded on the sleigh, the reindeer await you.
- Perfect, perfect, said the man while slipping on a
red jacket.
- Don't get cold, said his wife, giving him a kiss.

The old man stepped into the snow and arrived in front
of his sleigh , a superb red harness to which seven
reindeer were attached. The first one had a red nose.

- Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas to all! said Father
Christmas, leaving to deliver gifts.

The End.
